Since 1994 she has had her own freelance business, contributing to a wide range of magazines including Best, Marie Claire, Essentials, Options and New Woman.
Jackie Wadeson, the author of the Haircare and Styling section, is a freelance journalist specializing in hair and beauty and the author of two previous books, Make-up Artistry and Hairstyle File. She has broadcast on radio and television, is Contributing Editor of Hair magazine and writes for many consumer and trade magazines. In 1993 Jackie was awarded the Fellowship Press Award by the Fellowship of Hair Artists in Great Britain.
Kate Shapland, author of the Exercise and Diet section, started writing about beauty for Harpers and Queen over a decade ago. She has since worked on Marie Claire, Elle, Cosmopolitan and She, and has presented a beauty and style slot on The Clothes Show and regular beauty stories for ITV's This Morning and for radio. She is now Beauty Director of Woman's Journal and a freelance writer and presenter.
